Burrata Fava Leaf Crostini Recipe 

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz Burrata cheese
  • 8 tbl fava leaves wilted on grill with lemon
  • 8 tbl Green Onion Dessert Honey
  • 8 ea Grilled Parmesan Ciabatta Crostini

Directions:

  1. Warm crostini then spoon burrata evenly onto both crostini.
  2. Drizzle with green onion lemon honey and top with wilted fava leaves.
  3. Sprinkle with sea salt and pepper.

 

Dessert Honey

  • 1 cup green onion grilled
  • 2 fl oz lemon juice
  • 8 fl oz extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper
  • ½ cup pure organic dessert honey

Directions:

  1. Clean and wash green onions (approximately 4 bunches per cup) trimming the root and tips.
  2. Drizzle with a little olive oil and place on the hottest part of the grill until nicely charred all around. Then cool.
  3. Dice into 1/4 inch pieces and combine with all remaining ingredients.
  4. Season with salt and pepper

 

Crostini

  1. Slice ciabatta
  2. Top with finely grated parmesan cheese
  3. Bake until golden brown in 350 degree oven

 

Wilted Fava Leaves

  •  2 cups Fava Bean leaves only
  • 2 tbl Lemon juice
  • 2 tbl Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Pinch of salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. Toss leaves with oil, lemon salt and pepper.
  2. On a hot preheated grill, gently and very quickly drop the leaves onto the hottest part for only 10 to 15 seconds.
  3. Immediately serve.
